Important Dates & 2026 Consignor Information

Important Dates

  • May 1st, 2026- Entries Open and forms are available under the Consignor Contract tab or at peiharnessracing.ca.
  • May 29th, 2026- Entries and signed Consignor Contracts are due.
  • August 14th, 2026- All Pedigree changes (sex change, staking, etc.) are due.
  • September 14th, 2026- Signed Transfer of Ownership and/or Registration Certificate and Negative Coggins Certificate due.
  • October 1st, 2026- Proof of Liability Insurance, Yearling Health Status Form, and Vaccination Certificate (if applicable) due.
  • October 7th, 2026- No Yearlings are permitted to be shipped onto the grounds until 4 p.m.
  • October 8th, 2026- All Yearlings must be on the grounds by no later than 1:00 p.m. and ready for inspection by 4:00 p.m. for the Yearling Preview. Each consignor is responsible for having a handler present at their consignment for the duration of the yearling preview.
  • October 9th, 2026- All Yearlings must have their hip numbers on and be ready for inspection by no later than 9:00 a.m. on sale day. The sale begins at 11:00 a.m.

    New Changes for 2026

    Yearlings Eligible for Entry

    Must meet one of the following criteria: a) Atlantic Sired and/or b) Atlantic Foaled and/or c) PEI Owned. Yearlings must also be eligible to the Sire Stake Program in the jurisdiction in which their sire stood.

    Sale Preview

    From 4-8 p.m. on Thursday October 8th, 2026

    Sale Day

    Sale begins at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 9th, 2026

    Yearlings must have hip numbers on and be ready for inspection by 9 a.m.

    Cataloguing Fee (Entry Fee)

    Increased to $200.00 ($230.00) + HST per yearling

    Minimum Sale Commission

    Increased to $300.00 + HST ($345.00) per yearling

    Out Fee

    Increased to $3,000.00 + Cataloguing Fee +HST ($3,680.00)

    Deadline for Changes to Pedigree

    August 14th, 2026
